From Form to Formless: Spectrum of Human Experience
Yoga is often described as a practice of self-inquiry. Our embodiment is multi-layered, and for most of us, requires a great deal of unpacking to truly grasp our life’s divine reality. Who we are dives as deeply into our uniqueness in the physical form as it expands out into the truth of our oneness with the subtle, all-pervading material of consciousness. In some ways there is nothing to do to hold this full spectrum from form to formlessness, we can’t escape the greatness of who we are! And yet our attachment to the form is extremely binding. It is a life-long method- fine-tuning our awareness- until our identification is not confined by our limited form, rather our individuality becomes a vehicle by which we experience the totality and grandeur of our existence. Together, in the woods of Cornwall-on-Hudson, we will dive into a focused 3 days of practice to bridge our humanity, from its toughest contractions to its greatest freedoms.
The daily schedule includes asana, meditation, chanting, imbibing the wisdom of the Yoga teachings and will be supported by delicious meals, our collective intention and the natural beauty of the retreat setting. We’ll enjoy stargazing while fireside with the best of company!
There will also be ample time for rest, personal contemplation and optional daily excursions will include Storm King Art Center, hiking and a country lane walk to collect and carve pumpkins.
The retreat will be held in a beautiful, late 1800’s house with ideal spaces for yoga, dining together, plus cozy bedrooms.

3 vegetarian meals a day
Arrive Thursday or Friday evening (many will come after work)
