Anusara Yoga’s Therapeutic Applications
Retreat setting in Manitou Springs, CO
Sunday, June 28-Thursday, July 2, 2020
In this training, we will bridge the forefront of holistic science with our own working knowledge of the efficacy of the Anusara yoga practice. More than just learning a new set of therapeutic adjustments, we will focus on the larger context of how yogic wisdom meets the skillful application of the UPAs so that we facilitate a graceful unfoldment for ourselves and those who seek our guidance.
We will take an in-depth look into the bio-mechanics of anatomy and kinesiology, inquire into the complexity of human physiology, and learn to listen and to feel our way through habituated impasses and tendencies to overwork, brought to light through the asana practice.
Anusara Yoga contains immeasurable Grace and power. As teachers we are constantly refining our skill sets to better understand and facilitate this transformative method. This training is created for Anusara Yoga teachers but open to dedicated students as well, and it will open the door to the real possibility of your yoga practice’ innate ability to heal what is out of balance.
Julia brings her many years of intensive study of the human body to the program along with her passion to share this information in a very practical and accessible way. Julia recently coordinated and contributed the majority of the content for the Anusara Yoga Therapeutic’s Application manual. We will be using this manual as our guide for the training.
Julia Pearring, ECAT, C-IAYT, supports students in the exploration of their optimal range, to uncover the strength and potential of a deeper alignment no matter their range of movement. Through her in-depth studies in anatomy, kinesiology and physiology she has developed fresh and successful continuing education courses and teacher training modules. Her integrated focus on form, movement and the principles of Anusara yoga has organically built a thriving private therapeutic yoga practice. She strongly believes that an active sadhana, basing one’s personal practice on self inquiry and compassionate process, is invaluable for yoga teachers and practitioners. Julia lives and teaches in NYC, she is the managing director of the World Yoga Center.Julia first discovered Anusara Yoga in 2005. Through the years of discovery and grace-filled experiences, she has come to trust and rely on the Universal Principles of Alignment’s unfathomable depth and potential of refinement when working with her students. She is dedicated to staying inextricably linked to the Tantric scriptures and her Guru to support her personal path and to feed her teaching practice. She has completed over 500 hours of anatomy studies with the country’s top anatomists, including over 100 hours in dissection labs, integrating the profound revelations that are on the forefront of holistic research into her teaching.
