To Let Go

These leaves were the first I saw changing their colors and letting go from the branch. That was already a month ago, and still the beauty of this picture has stuck with me through everything else that I have encountered in the month’s time: the season’s turn, working intensely, shedding old skins, growth spurts…

What does it look like to let go willingly? How can I move forward effortlessly? Studying this image has clued me into an intuitive process. The natural process in the tree exists equally within us. On a cellular level, our body is constantly breaking down old relationships to build new ones for the sake of balance, continuation and health. So rather than try to answer these questions with theory or intellect, enjoy this picture, study it, see what space opens up within and honor that inner calling. Letting go is not meant to be rushed, it happens in its own time.
